Both SUVs’ base model trim: Luxury, includes standard features across both models like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an abundance of safety features, heated driver and front passenger seats, etc. Options vary between both SUVs according to the trim, though drivers will find a lot more standard amenities present in the Cadillac Escalade. 

Engine Options and Power

With the XT6 SUV and Escalade SUV being two rather large vehicles, both Cadillac SUVs are powered by hefty engine options. The smaller XT6 crossover is equipped standard with a 237-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Drivers can choose to upgrade to a 310-horsepower V-6 engine when stepping up to either the Premium Luxury or Sport trim levels. Regardless of the engine option you choose, every Cadillac XT6 is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and can be optioned with either front wheel drive or all-wheel drive. 

If horsepower is what you seek above anything else, the Cadillac Escalade SUV is a true beast. The Cadillac Escalade/Escalade ESV has two engine choices, a standard-equipped 6.2-liter V-8 engine, capable of producing 420 horsepower. The other choice being a turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline six. Both Escalade engine options are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and can be optioned with either 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive. Those wanting a more traditional driving experience should opt for the 2022 Cadillac XT6, those looking for a thrill behind the wheel should check out the 2022 Cadillac Escalade. 



Safety, Technology, and Passenger Amenities

Perhaps the most notable features of any Cadillac car or SUV are the driver assistance technologies and passenger amenities. Many safety features are found standard on both Cadillac SUVs, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, and Teen Driver, which is a configurable feature which lets you encourage better driver behavior through the keyfob. Exclusive to the 2022 Cadillac Escalade is Super Cruise, which is Cadillac’s autonomous, hands free driving system. 2023 Cadillac XT6 models will have this feature available as well.

Another available Escalade feature is the AKG Studio Reference Sound System, which features 38 speakers placed with precision around the interior cabin. The XT6 features standard technology like an 8-inch multi-touch infotainment system, 8-speaker Bose system, as well as other great features found on the Escalade like multiple USB ports, memory preset front seats, and remote start.
